Even as the Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders have been accusing Telangana Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram as an agent of the Congress party, reports indicate that the professor is in fact planning to launch a new regional party with like-minded people and NRIs.
According to these reports, the Congress does not have much chances of reviving its glory, as there is no unity among the leaders and no credibility among the people.
On the other hand, the BJP, too, has scattered presence in Telangana. So, Kodandaram feels there is still a lot of space for a new regional party.
That is precisely why Kodandaram has started attacking KCR directly in the recent past to prepare the ground for the political party.
However, he is not in a hurry to launch it, as he requires huge resources and manpower. Once he steps up strengthening of the JAC at all levels, he might make an announcement, say sources.
