The allegations against Jagan primarily are that he had not taken up the cause of Samaikhyandhra after coming out on bail because compromise on the issue was one of the conditions put by the Congress for giving him bail.
And today, he faces the same allegation of compromising on the issue of ‘special status’ to Andhra Pradesh.
While the YSRCP has been pulling up the TDP over the denial of special status to AP, it has not done anything remarkable on its own either.
And once again, the reluctance of Jagan to take on the BJP is attributed to the cases pending against him.
As long as Jagan continues to become the center of such blackmail, parties like the TDP will only stand to benefit.
If Jagan is a leader of the people and not just a politician, it is high time that he devise a stratagem to make the Center deliver on its promise to AP. It is very clear now that nothing can be expected from the TDP.
