When a new-born infant died in the government hospital of Guntur due to rat bites, civil society was shocked at the callousness of the authorities and the administration.
Public trust in government hospitals reached an all-time low. Health Minister of AP, Kamineni Srinivas therefore resolved to restore public confidence in government institutions by undergoing knee surgery at the hospital in Guntur.
The operation was performed yesterday and the minister’s knee is just fine. But YSRCP spokesperson Ambati Rambabu has made some startling comments.
He says that the doctors who performed the surgery were private doctors. If that is the case, then it defeats the purpose of the whole endeavor.
Kamineni should issue a clarification regarding this immediately as he might get a medal on Republic Day for bravery.
