Cong didn't spend a single rupee in Nandigama?

The Congress party on Tuesday claimed that it had not spent even a single rupee in the Nandigama by-election.

This was stated by Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president N Raghuveera Reddy on Tuesday.

He expressed satisfaction over the votes gained by his party candidate. He alleged that the ruling party spent a huge amount for the by-election. Liquor was also flooded in the constituency to woo the electorate.

Raghuveera Reddy said the sympathy for the family of Tangirala Prabhakar Rao, whose death caused the by-election and announcement that Vijayawada city would be the ad-hoc capital of AP government showered votes to the TDP candidate.

The APCC chief also alleged that the TDP had received huge amounts of money from the Polavaram Project contractors. He said they would reveal the names of contractors soon.
