Of late, one interesting development has not gone unnoticed in the media circles; that is, YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is getting considerable coverage in the media owned by his rival Ch Ramoji Rao.
Unlike in the past when Eenadu used to ignore news related to Jagan unless it had very considerable significance, there has been a very good coverage to him in the Eenadu daily newspaper as well as ETV Andhra Pradesh channel. More than the daily, ETV is showing Jagan’s press conferences prominently.
For example, his press meet on Monday in which he lambasted Andhra Jyothy for distorting his letter written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi three months ago got a very good coverage in ETV Andhra Pradesh.
It was never the case in the past, as Jagan used to target Ramoji Rao for highlighting the CBI cases against him.
Naturally, the latest development has raised many questions. Did Jagan enter into compromise with Ramoji Rao, forgetting the media rivalry? Or is it part of the strategy of the Bharatiya Janata Party central leadership, particularly Modi, who is closer to Ramoji Rao? Is it part of Modi’s plan to get rid of the TDP and come closer to YSRC?
Well, let us leave it to speculations, for now!
