Dealing a blow to the Telugu Desam Party, two senior MLAs of Ranga Reddy district are reportedly in touch with Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao for joining the TRS.
According to informed sources, Mahender Reddy and K S Ratnam, both belonging to Ranga Reddy district, were in touch with KCR for defecting to that party. However, their decision would depend on TRS merger with Congress or an electoral alliance in the ensuing elections.
It may be mentioned here that KCR was holding consultations with elders of the Congress as well as his party leaders to take a final decision whether or not to merge his party with Congress party. The duo would take a decision only after KCR announced his intention.
The two senior TDP MLAs may not join the TRS if it opts to merge with Congress. Sources said the two, who have a good rapport with Chandrababu Naidu, may not take a decision to switch over their loyality.
