Is talk going on in the Praja Rajyam Party circles is to be believed, PRP president Chiranjeevi’s younger daughter Srija Bharadwaj is all set to make a grand entry into politics. For, she has the courage, conviction and ability to pull crowds with her talk, the prime attributes of any successful political leader.
It is still fresh in the minds of the people how Srija had displayed her courage and conviction by eloping with her boyfriend Sirish Bharadwaj and marrying him at Arya Samaj three years ago, challenging the might of her megastar father Chiranjeevi, power star uncle Pawan Kalyan and master strategist uncle Allu Aravind. Nobody can forget how Srija had displayed her talkative skills while presenting her case before all the national and domestic television channels.
Till recently, Srija remained an outcast in the Chiranjeevi family, as she had caused a lot of damage to the image of her father by eloping with Sirish in a cinematic style. When she came to attend the funeral of her grandfather (Chiranjeevi’s father) Venkat Rao, the Allu and Co. had taken enough care that she did not fall in the eyes of her father. And only Srija was allowed into the house, while Sirish had to stay away. He came there only to drop and pick her up.
Even when Srija gave birth to a baby girl, Chiranjeevi did not go to the hospital to see his grand daughter. Only her mother Surekha, sister Sushmita, brother Ramcharan Teja, uncle Allu Aravind and other family members went to the hospital to call on Srija and her newborn baby.
Under these circumstances, the sudden appearance of Srija along with Chiranjeevi couple at the audio release function of Ramcharan’s forthcoming film Orange, raised many an eyebrow. The way she spent time her parents confirmed that Chiranjeevi has pardoned her. Why is this sudden change in Chiranjeevi towards his daughter?
According to party sources, Chiranjeevi and Allu Aravind have come to the conclusion that Srija has all the abilities to become a good leader. They are planning to utilize her services in strengthening the Mahila Rajyam, the women’s wing of the PRP, which has become weak after the removal of Shobha Rani from its top post. And Srija would be a major asset to the party because of her daring and dashing qualities, they felt.
Already Chiranjeevi handed over the party reins to Allu Aravind by making him general secretary as he would be busy in acting in films in the coming years. And by anointing Srija as the Mahila Rajyam head, the party would be in safe hands, sources said.
