Rs 40 Lakh Spent On Booze Party For Media?

The Telugu film industry is already crammed with heroes of all ages and they are struggling to get their pie in the market share.

As if they are not enough, heroes from neighbouring states like Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka are also invading the Tollywood now and then, targeting our audiences.

The latest in this invasion of Tollywood is Siva Kartikeyan, a Tamil hero presently eyeing the Telugu market.

According to reports, Kartikeyan is spending huge money to promote his film in Telugu. He started off his career as a comedian and later became a popular television star and then singer, before settling down as a hero.

Recently, he has done a Tamil film Remo, in which Keerthi Suresh, a known face for Telugu audiences, acted as heroine. In this film, Kartikeyan appears like a girl for some time.

This wholesome entertainment film is expected to attract even Telugu audiences. That is precisely why Kartikeyan wants to remake the film in Telugu.

He approached several production houses like Geeta Arts and UV Creations, but finally settled with Dil Raju. Apparently, the film will be produced under Dil Raju banner, but the entire production cost would be borne by Kartikeyan.

The latest information is that Kartikeyan is spending huge amount on promoting this film. The other day, a big cocktail party was hosted for the media in Hotel Park Hyatt. Though initially everybody thought the party was hosted by Dil Raju, but those who know his style did not believe it as he never spends big money on film promotion.

Inquiries revealed that it was Kartikeyan who had spent over Rs 40 lakh on hosting the cocktail party for media persons. If he could so much money only for a media party, one can easily imaging how much he is going to spend for the promotion of his film!
