Reel Buzz: A First For Balayya?

Reel Buzz: A First For Balayya?

Indian movie audiences do not generally accept it if the hero dies in the film. The hero may have received 10 stab wounds, 5 bullet wounds and beaten black and blue but he should still get up and finish the baddies off. But what if it’s a mythological film? Well, in that case, exceptions can be made!

Industry sources say that Nandamuri Balakrishna’s character of Gautamiputra Satkarni dies towards the end of the movie. This would be highly interesting to watch on screen because have the makers decided to kill Gautamiputra in battle or does he die from illness?

Since Gautamiputra dying of illness would not make for an entertaining climax, perhaps, the makers would show the Brahmin emperor as dying in battle.

As far as Balayya is concerned, the only time he died on screen was in Lion. But he played a dual role in that movie: one of a doctor/factionist (Maybe inspired by a TDP MLA turned Speaker) and the other of a lecturer.

There is no dual role in Gautamiputra as the role of his son is being played by Kannada star Raj Kumar. So, in a solo hero role, this would be the first tragedy for Balayya on screen.
