Telangana Peoples Association of Dallas (TPAD) kicked off its signature event Bathukamma & Dasara Sambaralu of 2015 in a grandeur manner and received outstanding support from prominent DFW Telugu Community leaders, national, local organizations, businesses, professionals and individuals.
TPAD formally announced the hosting of Texas size Bathukamma- Dasara Sambaralu of 2015 at Dr. Pepper Stadium on Saturday, October 17th, 2015 2 PM. Over 10,000 people are expected to attend the event that will be one of its kind.
The event will be conducted in a very spacious indoor Dr. Pepper Arena, in Frisco, with a seating capacity of 8000. Besides flexible and adequate seating, the arena shields the event from unexpected weather conditions. The venue provides a safer access with several amenities to the families attending the celebrations.
The Grand initiation dinner was attended by well over 250 people representing vibrant Dallas/Fort-Worth (DFW) Telugu community, organizations, members and well-wishers of TPAD. The evening started with a grand welcome by Ms. Sumana Basani and lighting of Diyas followed by prayer by a team of young local talent, well known singers entertained the guests for the evening.
Mr. Ajay Reddy, Chairman along with TPAD’s foundation committee members Mr. Rao Kalvala, Mr. Vijay Pitta, Mr. Raghuveer Bandaru, Mr. Upender Telugu, Mr. Janaki Mandadi, Mr. Mahendar Kamireedy and Mr. Raj Gondhi formally introduced Ms. Madhavi Sunkireddy as the Convener of the event and Mr. Raghuveer Bandaru as Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT).
Mr. Raghuveer Bandaru later introduced the BOT team, Pavan Gangadhra, Ashok Kondala, Sharada Singireddy, Ganga Devara, Praveen Billa (Co-Chair) and Ram Annadi. Upender Telugu, Event Co-ordinator, introduced the office bearers of TPAD Sreenivas Vemula (Co-Converner), Sudhakar Kalasani (Secretary), Rajender Todigala (Joint Secretary), Anand Kathroju (Treasurer), Indrani Pancharpula (Joint Treasurer), and Executive Committee members Linga Reddy Alwa , Satish Janumpalli, Sreenivas Gangadhara, Sathya Perkari, Sumana Basani, Karan Poreddy.
Mr. Ajay Reddy introduced TPAD advisors, Venu Bhagyanagar, Vikram Janagam, Naresh SunkiReddy, Manohar Kasagani and Ravi Shankar Patel. Several National Telugu Organizations announced their support for the Grand Batukamma-Dasara Sambaralu, NATA (Sridhar Korsapati), TATA (Vikram Jangam), ATA (Arvind Reddy Muppidi), TDF (Ravi Shankar Patel), TANA (Prasad Thotakura & Srikanth Polavarapu) and local Telugu Organizations TANTEX (Dr. Narsimha Reddy Urimindi), DATA (Pramod Proddutur), local cultural associations Kalavahini (Ramana Rao Juvvadi), LMA (Kamalakar Ponuru), SwarSindhu (Rajshekar Suribotla) and Telugu Entrepreneurs Association (TEA) (Srinivas Reddy Gurram) attended the meeting.
Funds were later raised where the attendees enthusiastically promised to fund and the total collected amount was $125,000.00.
