Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy Foundation (USA) was formed three years ago to help the poor and needy Telugu people back home in Andhra Pradesh.
The Foundation has already conducted several charitable programs in a modest way in the last couple of years. But, the impetus came in the form of Dr. Prem Reddy garu, when he started participating enthusiastically in the Foundation activities starting this year.
He is now the Chairman of Advisory Council of Dr. YSR Foundation (USA). Here are some of the activities the Foundation is focusing on right now.
Dr. Prem Reddy - Dollar to Dollar Match Program:
Dr. Prem Reddy garu is generous enough by declaring that he would match dollar-to-dollar for any funds the Foundation raises for all the charitable activities in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The Foundation is concentrating on Safe Drinking Water plants and Health Camps in rural areas.
Safe Drinking Water Plants: Safe drinking water is greatly needed for most villages as the ground water is contaminated because of the heavy use of pesticides and fertilizers. Any individual or a group of individuals can sponsor one or more water plants for the villages or areas.

Remember, one needs to raise only half the amount as Dr. Prem Reddy garu will provide the other half! Also, the Foundation has a list of target villages spreading across the whole State to which anyone can contribute.

Health Camps: As most villagers normally tend to avoid going to doctors even for normal checkups because either it is expensive or do not have the knowledge. Health camps are a great way to help most of the villages.
For example, most of the older people lose vision and they can regain it with simple, inexpensive cataract surgeries. As they never ever get checkups, the medical camps would be of immense help to identify and treat simple ailments that could lead to major health issues like blood pressure, diabetes, and other medical issues besides vision.

Sponsor a Student Scholarship
