Philadelphia: Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy Foundation has organized a Blood Drive in Philadelphia on September 6th to commemorate Dr. YSR’s 5th Vardhanthi.
Over 800 YSR followers from all across the USA have attended this event, including famous personalities like Mangalagiri MLA Alla Rama Krishna Reddy, Guntur East MLA Mustafa, Chittor Ex-MP Gnanendra Reddy and a few others.
The activities started with a noble blood donation camp in the morning of Saturday in Philadelphia under the leadership and direction of Dr. Raghava Reddy Ghosala, Alla Rami Reddy and Rajeshwar Reddy Gangasani, with the help of several volunteers.
Over 200 YSR followers donated blood to Red Cross on the occasion of YSR Vardhanthi and in memory of 9/11 victims.
Mangalagiri MLA Alla Rama Krishna Reddy, in his speech praised all the blood donors for taking valuable time to come from different states to remember the great leader Dr. YSR.
YSR has implemented not only the promises from the manifesto but also several other programs including Rs.2/Kg rice. YSR has always thought about the poor people to make their lives better. Our generation is lucky to have witnessed the ruling of Dr. YSR and lived during the same time.
Guntur East MLA Mustafa, in his speech praised Dr. YSR for helping the poor people and he was amazed by the passion and affection towards Dr. YSR by NRIs.
Blood Drive Event Coordinator and Foundation Core Committee member Dr. Raghava Reddy Ghosala thanked all the blood donors, Red Cross for their excellent arrangements, Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital CEO Neil Callahan, and its staff for their invaluable support. This is the fifth year in a row Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital sponsored T-shirts for all the donors.
Foundation President Alla Rami Reddy in his speech thanked MLAs Alla Rama Krishna Reddy and Mustafa for taking their valuable time and coming all the way from India for this event. He also reminded everyone that Dr. YSR implemented programs to each and every section of people including the rich in the form of Gas subsidy.
Chittoor Ex-MP Gnanender Reddy and several speakers spoke emotionally and eloquently to touch the audience. The Red Cross personally thanked all the YSR followers, who come forward year after year for this noble cause.
