Dallas, TX: With a distinct honor and great pleasure as close admirers of Padma Vibhushan, Nata Samrat, Dr. Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR) garu we established the “Akkineni Foundation of America (AFA)” in 2014 in USA in his remembrance with the objective of carrying forward the principles and ideology of Dr. ANR like “Hard Work, Discipline, Self-confidence, Vision, Philanthropy and Community Service” said Dr. Prasad Thotakura, the Founder President of AFA in a press release on the eve of 94th Jayanthi of Dr. ANR, September 20.
Dr. Prasad Thotakura further stated that AFA celebrated the 1st International Awards Gala in Gudivada in 2014, the 2nd gala in Hyderabad in 2015, the 3rd in Chennai in 2015 and the 4th gala being planned to celebrate on December 16th in Eluru, W. Godavari Dist. AP.
As part of this awards gala, AFA Board bestowed awards annually Dr. ANR’s name and honor stalwarts from different walks of life who strive for a better society that inspires future generations.

Viswanath garu will be felicitated with "Lifetime Achievement Award", Dr. M.V.V.S Murthi garu, the founder President of GITAM University will be bestowed with “Vidya Ratna”; Sri Gollapudi Maruthi Rao garu with “Cini Ratna”, Usha Groups Chairman Dr. V.V. Bala Krishna Rao garu with “Visishta Vyapara Ratna”, Sri. Vangapandu Prasada Rao garu with “Rangasthala Ratna”, Dr. Jagadeesh Gudaru garu with “Vaidya Ratna”, Mr. Manohar Reddy Mayaluri garu, CEO of Feuji Inc. with “Seva Ratna”, Mr. Shakir Mohammed garu with “Vinuthna Ratna” and Captain Anne Divya, the youngest women pilot ( Boeing -7777) in the world will be awarded with “Yuva Ratna” awards.
