Worried KCR seeks CPI support to win Huzurnagar!

TRS chief and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao always proudly claims that TRS is the only party which contests all the elections independently without entering into any tie-ups or alliances with any party and wins elections with a good majority.

However, for the first time since 2014, TRS has sought support of another party to win Huzurnagar byelection scheduled on October 21.

KCR directed senior TRS leaders to meet CPI leaders and work out a tie-up.

This shows how desperate KCR is to win Huzurnagar seat, which was held by TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy.

Congress has fielded Uttam's wife Padmavathi for Huzurnagar bypoll.

Following KCR's orders, senior TRS leaders K Keshava Rao, B Vinod Kumar and Nama Nageshwar Rao rushed to CPI office Makhdoom Bhavan in Himayathnagar, Hyderabad, today and held talks for two hours with CPI leader Chada Venkat Reddy.

TRS leaders promised to fulfill all the demands put forth by CPI to enter into poll tie-up.

Left parties in Telangana were washed out by TRS. There is no representation to CPI or CPM in TS Legislative Assembly.

Despite this, KCR extended friendship hand to CPI with a fear that Congress will win Huzurnagar seat again.

TDP and CPM have also declared their candidates for Huzurnagar bypoll.

With this, the Congress-led People's Front was shattered after TDP, CPM decided to contest on its own.

With Congress, TRS, TDP, BJP, CPM in fray, KCR is worried that the multi-cornered contest will split TRS votes and benefit Congress.

To avoid this, KCR was forced to have tie-up with a party which has no political significance.

KCR wants to win Huzurnagar seat at any cost and teach a fitting lesson to his arch rival Uttam Kumar Reddy.
