Won't behave like Jagan, says Revanth

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president A Revanth Reddy on Thursday said if he becomes the chief minister of Telangana after the assembly elections, he would not resort to witch-hunt of political rivals, including Bharat Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao.

“No, I won’t behave like Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who has been acting with vengeance against Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu. Most of the people are mistaken with my comments against KCR,” he said, in an interview with ABN-Andhra Jyothy channel.

He said the people would give power to a party to do something good for them, but not to take vengeance or settle scores with individuals.

“Just because one person is doing it, you cannot expect that I, too, would do the same thing. I don’t have anything personal against any leader, including KCR,” the PCC chief said.

Revanth, however, said there would be inquiry into the acts of omission and commission of the present government.

“That does not mean anybody would be arrested illegally or treated with political vendetta. We shall take any action as per the law, but not to settle personal scores,” he said.

He made it clear that any policy decision would be reviewed in accordance with the rules of the administration and law.

“The government will review any such decision as per the directions of the party. But not according to Revanth Reddy or somebody else,” he said.
