Will ask Jagananna to allot lands for IT: KTR

Telangana Information Technology and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao is trying to establish that Telangana is far superior to Andhra Pradesh in the development of Information Technology sector and the Jagan Mohan Reddy government has neglected the same.

That is why on Friday, KTR made some interesting comments about IT companies in Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking at the inauguration of a software company at Madikonda in Warangal district, he said not just in Telangana, there is a need to develop software companies even in Andhra Pradesh.

Stating that the software companies would come up in Tier-2 cities in the coming days, KTR said there is a need to develop IT companies not only in Hyderabad and Warangal, but also in Andhra cities like Bhimavaram and Nellore.

“There is a scope for the development of IT sector even in Andhra Pradesh towns. The students in Andhra Pradesh are also brilliant and  talented and if the companies are set up there, there is a lot of scope for the growth opportunities for the IT sector,” he said.

Calling upon the NRIs to set up IT companies in such Andhra towns, KTR said if necessary, he would speak to “Jagananna” and see that the companies were allotted lands for the establishment of companies.

“We don’t want the development to be concentrated only in one state or at one place. We don’t want the differences between the states in the name of caste, religion or region. We want them to prosper equally on par with us,” he said.

KTR said the IT companies should see that the local talent got encouragement and employment opportunities.

“If it doesn’t happen, the unemployed youth would migrate to other places, like from Andhra to Telangana or Karnataka,” he said.

He reminded that in Bengaluru, 40 percent of the software employees are from Telugu states.

“Now, they are all eager to come to Hyderabad. If there are good opportunities in Andhra towns too, the Andhra techies will return to Andhra Pradesh,” he said.
