Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy has mastered the art of taking potshots at his political opponents, particularly Bharat Rashtra Samithi leaders who have been targeting him day in and day out.
He makes use of every opportunity to expose the BRS leaders, targeting party president K Chandrasekhar Rao and his family members.
At a meeting held at Osmania University, Revanth Reddy has took KCR family to task, without naming anybody.
He remarked that some political leaders are distressed over losing their positions and are upset that their sons are unable to secure opportunities.
“Don’t fall into the traps of such leaders. Myself and my cabinet colleagues are accessible to students at any time. Thet can share their problems directly with the government and we shall address their concerns,” he said.
Revanth Reddy lashed out at the BRS leadership, accusing them of conspiring against Prof M Kodandaram and approaching the Supreme Court to remove him from the MLC post.
Questioning their actions, he called it a form of “sadistic pleasure.” He promised that the government would reinstate Kodandaram as an MLC within 15 days.
Asking people not to fall prey to misinformation, the chief minister warned against believing the “false propaganda” spread by opponents, especially on WhatsApp and other social media platforms.
He criticized those spreading fake news, citing a recent instance where false claims were circulated about lions and elephants being present at the Central University with the help of Artificial Intelligence-generated visuals.
“There are no lions or elephants in Telangana. The only beasts here are those in human form staying in farmhouses,” he said, describing such elements as “termites damaging Telangana society.”
He added that these individuals do not wish well for Telangana and cautioned that if they return to power, they would once again disrupt Osmania University.
