Revanth to honour protocol, unlike KCR!

Revanth to honour protocol, unlike KCR!

The Congress party is engaged in a fierce battle with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government at the Centre, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Even in Telangana, the upcoming Lok Sabha elections are anticipated to witness a tug-of-war between the two parties.

However, when it comes to adhering to protocol, the Congress government in Telangana, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, has decided to uphold it, especially in receiving the Prime Minister and accompanying him to districts to inaugurate various developmental projects.

Revanth's predecessor and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, displayed utter disregard towards Narendra Modi.

During KCR's previous term, he did not adhere to the protocol in showing respect to Modi when the latter visited Telangana or Hyderabad.

Whenever Modi visited Telangana, KCR assigned his junior minister, Talasani Srinivasa Yadav, to welcome and see off the Prime Minister.

Furthermore, the BRS vehemently protested against Modi by displaying billboards, posters, and banners along Modi's route, aiming to insult him.

However, Revanth chose not to emulate KCR's approach, despite the Congress and BJP being staunch political rivals.

Modi is expected to criticize the Congress government in his political speeches at the public meetings scheduled for Monday and Tuesday.

Therefore, Revanth went to the Begumpet airport to welcome Modi and attend his programs in Adilabad, where the Prime Minister is scheduled to lay foundation stones and inaugurate various developmental projects estimated to cost Rs 56,000 crore.

Revanth explicitly stated that politics would not hinder developmental projects in Telangana. He emphasized the importance of coordination between the state government and the Centre for the state's development.

"Though the Congress and BJP differ in ideology, they maintain a professional relationship for the betterment of the state," he remarked.

Union Culture Minister G. Kishan Reddy, who is also the BJP state president, and Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan are also expected to participate in the programs.

Revanth will receive the Prime Minister and depart for Hyderabad after the official programs.
