Revanth Reddy: Losing Community Support

Revanth Reddy: Losing Community Support

Hyderabad: Campaigning for Padmavathi Reddy in Huzurnagar, Revanth Reddy referred to the TDP once again as the Party which gave birth to his political career. (Thalli lanti party).

Mentioning the name of TDP in Huzurnagar or Telangana or that matter is not a wise thing. He also went and met TV9 journalist Ravi Prakash who had been arrested.

Such actions frequently reiterate the perception that Revanth Reddy continues to be a lackey of Chandrababu Naidu and has no independent persona of his own.

More importantly, it is distancing him from his own Reddy community who has always been averse to association with the TDP.

For nine years, the Reddy community after the death of YSR was hounded by the yellow media and TDP in particular.

Even though the TRS was firmly established in Telangana, they found succor in the rise of YS Jagan in Andhra Pradesh.

TV9 former CEO Ravi Prakash and TDP played a huge role in contributing to YS Jagan’s misery whether it be filing cases or carrying out negative propaganda against him. Naturally, the Reddy community as fuming against these two groups.

Therefore, when Revanth Reddy speaks in favour of the TDP or Ravi Prakash, it is only contributing to his further alienation from his community.

All said and done, it is high time that Revanth comes out of the shadows of Chandrababu Naidu.
