One 'R' dropped from BJP's RRR in Telangana!

The Bharatiya Janata Party which has been boasting of having a “RRR” in the Telangana assembly has been forced to drop one “R” by sacking T Raja Singh, the controversial legislator from Goshamahal constituency in Hyderabad, following his explosive remarks against Prophet Mohammad.

In a notice to Singh, Om Pathak, the secretary of BJP’s central disciplinary committee, said the lawmaker expressed views contrary to the party’s position in clear violation of its Constitution. “...pending further inquiry, you are suspended from the party and from your responsibilities/assignments if any, with immediate effect.”

Pathak asked Singh to “show cause” within 10 days from the date of this notice as to why he should not be expelled from the party.

“Your detailed reply must reach the undersigned no later than 2nd of September 2022."

Raja Singh was also removed from the post of BJP legislature party leader in the state assembly, though he still continues to be an MLA.

So, the party has to look for one of the remaining two “Rs” -- Raghunandan Rao and Rajender Eatala – to be the BJLP leader.

Both of them are equally strong and efficient but since Raghunandan Rao is the senior among the two in the BJP, he might get the post.

In any case, the party is hoping for another “R” to join the list – Rajagopal Reddy Komatireddy, if it wins the Munugode assembly constituency.
