No entry for HM into Pragati Bhavan!

No entry for HM into Pragati Bhavan!

There has been a criticism against Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao that he runs the state like his personal fiefdom and he doesn’t allow anybody in the party and the government to hold any power.

In his kingdom, there is only KCR and all his cabinet colleagues, barring of course his son K T Rama Rao, are mere dummies.

Whatever decision he takes, everybody should follow. He reviews all the departments and the ministers have little say in any decision making.

Even KCR’s nephew T Harish Rao has no knowledge of what is happening in the finance department.

He had no knowledge of the budget preparations, as the finance department authorities discussed every issue was the chief minister. Harish Rao just read out the budget speech

During the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, too, the ministers have been reduced to mere dummies, as everything is being handled by the chief minister himself.

The ministers are confined to either their homes or engaged in food distribution camps in their constituencies.

On Wednesday, state home minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali had to face a humiliating experience with KCR.

He came to know that the chief minister was holding a review meeting with the home and health departments with regard to the rise in Coronavirus cases in the wake of Nizamuddin meeting of Tablighi Jamaat.

Mahmood Ali thought he was also part of the meeting and so, he drove straight to Pragati Bhavan. But to his shock, he was stopped at the gate and the Pragati Bhavan security told him that he had no permission to attend the meeting.

It was a sort of humiliation for the home minister, as his own department staff did not allow him to go into Pragati Bhavan.

What is worse, the staff allowed Director General of Police M Mahender Reddy into the premises, even as the home minister was watching helplessly.

But that is KCR!
