Land grab case: Noose tightens around Revanth!

Noose appears to be tightening around Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee working president A Revanth Reddy and his brother A Kondal Reddy for allegedly trying to grab 10.20 acres of land in Gopanpally village of Serilingampalli mandal in Ranga Reddy district.

Revenue Divisional Officer R Chandrakala on Tuesday submitted a report to Ranga Reddy Collector, recommending criminal prosecution of Revanth Reddy and his brother for violation of WALTA Act. She also recommended demolition of compound wall around the land.

In her report, the RDO mentioned that there was no title for 5.5 acres of land in Survey No. 127 which was in possession of Revanth and Kondal.

She made it clear that the entire 10.20 acres of land in possession of the brothers was illegal, as they had resorted to land grabbing and got it mutated in their name by bribing the revenue officials.

Apparently, the tehsildar allegedly acted in connivance with Revanth and his brother in handing over the lands to them over a period of time through mutation.

Now, the government is planning to act swiftly and might even arrest Revanth Reddy for resorting to land grabbing. It remains to be seen how the TPCC working president would tackle the case.

Interestingly, it was only on Monday that Revanth had come out with proofs about alleged encroachment of land by Telangana Rashtra Samithi working president and IT minister K T Rama Rao at Janwada village, where he had constructed huge multi-storied farm house with ultramodern facilities.

Revanth and others were taken into custody for trespassing into the private land and using drones to picturise the area.
