KCR's daughter a barking dog, says BRS MLA

KCR's daughter a barking dog, says BRS MLA

Ever since Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha came out of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi in September this year and started criticising the party, the BRS leaders had been maintaining restraint in attacking her, just because she happens to be the daughter of their party president and former Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

But it appears they have got the green signal from KCR to launch a counter-attack, as Kavitha has begun growing aggressive in her attack on the party.

On Tuesday, BRS from Kukatpally, Madhavaram Krishna Rao crossed all the boundaries and called Kavitha as a barking dog.

Krishna Rao’s remarks came during a press conference he convened in response to Kavitha’s recent visit to Kukatpally, where she criticized him and levelled allegations regarding his political conduct.

During the press meet, Krishna Rao used unusually harsh language targeting Kavitha and her husband, calling them he had seen many such barking dogs.

He asserted that both the central and state governments were aware of “all the irregularities” allegedly committed by her.

He further claimed that any official scrutiny would expose “illegal assets and corruption.”

“No one is afraid of you,” he declared, adding that Kavitha had tarnished the reputation of her father KCR.

He also alleged that she was conspiring to oust Harish Rao from the party and seize control from BRS working president K T Rama Rao.

Warning her against making further comments, he said: “If you speak irresponsibly again, we will not remain silent.”

The remarks have provoked strong backlash from Telangana Jagruthi leaders, who condemned Krishna Rao’s statements as defamatory and misogynistic.

Addressing the media, Jagruthi working president Roop Singh questioned Krishna Rao’s “decency and political ethics,” demanding an immediate apology to Kavitha.

“If you have even a shred of conscience, withdraw your comments and apologise to Kavithamma garu,” he said.

He accused Krishna Rao of switching loyalties based on political convenience, alleging that his past behaviour contributed to the suffering of Telangana students during the statehood movement.

Jagruthi leaders further charged that Krishna Rao had betrayed the TDP and its founding Nandamuri family in earlier years, citing his alleged role in defeating Nandamuri Harikrishna’s daughter in a previous election.

They also accused him of reaching a “secret understanding” with the ruling Congress after the BRS lost power, stating that he is now “licking the boots of Revanth Reddy.”

“Are you even worthy of talking about Kavitha today?” Roop Singh asked, warning that Telangana society would not tolerate such “vulgar language.”

He added that Telangana Jagruthi had confronted similar attacks in the past and would continue to resist what they described as “character assassination.”
