Hyderabad: Thorrur Land Auction Breaks Records

Thorrur, located near the Outer Ring Road on the outskirts of Hyderabad, witnessed a record-breaking land auction on Sunday as prices soared to ₹67,500 per square yard.

Conducted under the supervision of Rajiv Swagruha Corporation, the open plot public auction attracted intense competition from eager buyers.

A total of 100 plots, each measuring between 300 and 450 square yards and targeted at middle-class buyers, went under the hammer at a private function hall in Abdullapurmet.

The event drew 240 registered bidders, many of whom attended with their families to secure their dream plots.

The base price was set at ₹25,000 per square yard. However, bidding escalated quickly, with a prime corner plot selling for a record ₹67,500 per square yard.

Another corner plot fetched ₹62,000 per square yard. On average, the plots sold for ₹33,000 per square yard.

Rajiv Swagruha Corporation generated around ₹105 crore in revenue from the auction.

The proceedings ran from morning until late night under tight police security and in the presence of officials from Revenue, Rajiv Swagruha, and HMDA.

The high demand, competitive atmosphere, and premium prices underscored Thorrur’s growing appeal as a prime real estate destination, with buyers willing to pay top rates for prime locations near Hyderabad’s expanding urban fringe.
