Take any election, the main objective of any major political party is to win, which only means defeat of the rival parties. The ultimate aim of any party is to capture power.
But the Congress party has fallen to such a miserable state that it has not been showing any inclination to win the elections and capture power. Instead, it only wants the defeat of the main rival party, even if it means victory for others.
This seems to be the attitude of the Congress party in Telangana as well.
The party has lost miserably in the recent by-elections to Dubbak assembly seat and its candidate Ch Srinivas Reddy even lost its deposit.
But the Congress has not expressed regrets for its loss nor has it done any introspection. Instead, the Congress is happy that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi has lost the seat in the hands of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
So, it doesn’t mind the BJP winning the elections, but only wants the TRS to lose.
Apparently, even in the forthcoming elections to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, the Congress objective seems to be not to capture power in the GHMC but to see the defeat of the TRS.
It was evident from the latest tweet of AICC official spokesman Dasoju Sravan. He said KCR and his company have got their minds blocked with the shock given by the voters of Dubbak.
“We are going to witness the same scene in GHMC elections as well,” he said.
What does it indicate? The Congress wants the TRS to lose the GHMC elections in the hands of the BJP as was witnessed in the Dubbak by-elections!
