The shocking outburst of senior TRS leader and health minister Etela Rajender against KCR and party leadership on Thursday led to intense speculations in political circles that Etela and Harish Rao may pull off a coup to dethrone KCR from CM's post.
It is being widely debated in TRS as well as in political circles that Etela is being targetted by KCR because Etela is moving closely with Harish and KCR came to know about Etela-Harish combination trying to destablise his party and government by pulling off a coup anytime soon.
KCR has sidelined Harish after coming to power for second term in December 2018.
Harish has been confined to his Siddipet constituency and not allowed to tour any districts or even Hyderabad.
Though Harish is reportedly angry at KCR for ignoring him in the party and government, he could do nothing as he was alone all those days
Now, another senior leader Etela Rajender, who has been working in TRS since its inception in 2001 along with Harish, is being targeted by KCR and is likely to be axed from the cabinet anytime soon.
Speculations are rife that Etela and Harish are in touch with each other and KCR, KTR are worried over Etela-Harish duo that they may pull down the government.
Harish continues to have strong hold on TRS. Several TRS MLAs are 'secret supporters' of Harish,
Etela also has good following of MLAs from BC, SC and ST categories. If Harish and Etela join hands, it would be difficult for KCR and kTR to save the government.
If such coup happens, the BJP central leadership is also learnt to be ready to support Harish-Etela duo to dethrone KCR.
Since Etela has already made its dissent against KCR public, Harish too is expected to follow suit. If that happens, the political landscape in Telangana is bound to witness sea change in the coming days.
