Did Kavitha Get Dad's Blessings?

Did Kavitha Get Dad's Blessings?

Telangana Jagruthi president and Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha, who has been completely sidelined by her family members, made yet another attempt to meet her father and BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) on Friday at the family’s Erravelli farmhouse in Siddipet district.

Telangana Jagruthi sources informed the media that Kavitha had gone to the farmhouse to seek the blessings of KCR for her younger son who will be leaving for the United States for higher studies.

She also took her husband, younger son and in-laws to meet her parents and take their blessings before his departure.

Kavitha is scheduled to fly to the US with her son early Sunday morning and will remain there for about 15 days, settling him into his university before returning to Hyderabad. Her elder son has already completed higher studies in the US.

Sources said Kavitha had gone to the farmhouse and returned to Hyderabad within an hour and it is not immediately known whether KCR had allowed her inside and entertained her family.

Neither the BRS nor Telangana Jagruthi released any pictures of Kavitha and her family meeting KCR.

What has raised many eyebrows was the way KCR summoned his son K T Rama Rao and nephew T Harish Rao to the Erravalli farmhouse almost at the same time.

It is an open secret that Kavitha is not seeing eye-to-eye with her brother or Harish Rao for the last few months.

BRS sources said KCR had called KTR and Harish, and a few other leaders to discuss the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election, local body polls, the assembly session, and the judicial commission report on Kaleshwaram project.

This meeting carries political weight as it comes after reports of strain between Kavitha and KCR-KTR in recent months.

In April, during the BRS’s 25th anniversary public meeting in Warangal, Kavitha wrote a letter to her father.

The letter’s recent leak provided ammunition to both the ruling Congress and the opposition BJP, revealing internal party differences.
