Congress to win Telangana: India Today Survey

The India Today-Axis My India exit poll suggests that the Congress is poised for a remarkable victory in Telangana, preventing K Chandrashekhar Rao's Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) from securing a record third term.

The forecast indicates that the Congress is expected to secure 63–73 seats, while the ruling BRS is projected to attain 34–44 seats out of the 119 assemblies where voting took place.

Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy expressed confidence in the party's success, stating, "My projection is 80+. It's set to increase," following the promising findings of the Axis My India exit poll.

As per the anticipated vote share, the BRS is expected to receive 36% of the votes, with the BJP trailing at 14%.

Additionally, the exit poll reveals that the BJP is likely to secure 4–8 seats, while independent candidates may secure 5–8 seats, holding an 8% vote share.

These results come in the aftermath of the Telangana Assembly Election, with the exit poll outcomes unveiled a day after the state went to the polls on November 30.

The elections witnessed a voter turnout of 70.60% in the race for the 119-member Telangana Legislative Assembly.
