Will TDP join if we move no-trust motion?

Kandukuru (Prakasam dist): Picking the gauntlet YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that his Party is prepared to move the no-confidence motion in the Parliament and challenged the TDP to join issue to mount pressure on the Centre to get Special Category Status (SCS).

Reacting to film star Pawan Kalyan’s demand, Jagam said, "We are prepared to move the motion in the last week of March after intensifying the agitation for SCS and as our Party has five MPs which is not a sufficient number to move the motion, if the TDP MPs join us it will be moved or else we are prepared to support should TDP table the no trust motion."

Dubbing the film star as a partner of Chandrababu Naidu, the Leader of Opposition has said, "The Chief  Minister and his partner Pawan Kalyan need not bother about the petty amounts that have come in to the state and advocate for Special Packages as there is no alternative for SCS.

We have announced the agitation programme in Delhi from March 5 when the Budget Session resumes and if no results are forthcoming our MPs will quit on April 6, the concluding day and will the TDP MPs too join in the en masse resignations," he asked.

In between, even going by Chandrababu Naidu’s partner Pawan Kalyan’s remark we will move a no-confidence motion against the NDA government in the last week of March, will the TDP MPs too join us to make up the numbers as our MPs were purchased by TDP, he said.

While Chandrababu Naidu has lauded the Centre for its Budget in the previous years and being a partner in the coalition, now he has been enacting a new drama as if he had suddenly woken from the slumber and has been making some noise to gain political mileage.

Our slogan is ‘SCS is our right, do not get cheated by Special Packages’. This theme should be drilled into the film star Pawan Kalyan and his partner Chandrababu Naidu and we should settle for nothing short of it.

Poking fun at the Fact Finding Committee floated by Pawan Kalyan which purportedly studied the inflow of funds to the state from the Centre, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said, it is a wasteful exercise and what is needed now is not the balance of payments but a solid and beneficiary SCS which would bring in investments and generate employment paving way for development.

We are ready to quit and move a no confidence motion for the sake of SCS and Chandrababu Naidu should tell if TDP is prepared to do the same, he said adding that the two partners should at least now open their eyes and shun the talk of special package and seek SCS.
