Wanted: White Paper On Investments In AP!

The YSR Congress party on Monday demanded a white paper into the actual flow of investments in the state in the last three years of Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu regime.

YSRC MLA from Rayachoty Gadikota Srikanth Reddy alleged that Naidu had been hoodwinking the people of the state by making tall claims on investments.

“Where are these lakhs of crores of rupees of investments that have flown into the state? Where are the industries? Except a handful of industries which had committed their investments long ago, there are hardly any bid industries that had come up during Naidu regime,” he said.

He demanded that the TDP government release a White Paper giving details about the investments and industries that came to Andhra Pradesh due to the three partnership summits held so far.

Srikanth Reddy said the government was spending crores of rupees in the name of these summits and was not getting anything in return for the state. And for Rayalaseema, the government had done nothing industrially and in agricultural sector, he alleged.

YSRC MP P Mithun Reddy also accused Naidu of indulging in publicity blitzkrieg in the name of Partnership Summits instead of focussing on real industrial development. If Naidu could get the special category status to AP, industries would automatically come to the state because of the huge investments, he said.
