Jagan To Take A Day's Break For AP Bandh

YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, whose marathon padayatra has crossed 80 days and almost touched 1200 km, will take a break on Thursday to take part in the Andhra Pradesh bandh called by the Left parties in protest against the injustice meted out to the state in Union budget.

The YSRC party announced that it was extending its full support to the bandh call, seeking special category status to Andhra Pradesh and also implementation of promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act.

“Extending solidarity with the agitating masses, Jagan will halt his padayatra for a day and participate in the agitation,” a statement from the party said.

The YSRC president appealed to all sections of people to remain united and fight for the rights of the state by making the bandh a total success.

On Friday, Jagan will have to attend the trial court in Hyderabad in connection with the CBI case against him. So, it will be a two-day break for his padayatra. He will back on the rpad for padayatra on Saturday.
