Telangana Peoples Association of Dallas formed in 2014, to serve the interests of NRIs from Telangana Region. The interest include promotion of classic and ancient Telugu Language to next generations, celebrate Telangana festivals in an integrated and inclusive manner, support charities in US and India, facilitate business and professional networking. An estimated 20,000 Telugu speaking people from Telangana Region reside in Dallas-Fort Worth area.
As the Government of India is preparing to form Telangana the 29th State of India on June 2nd, there is lot of excitement and interest in DFW Telangana community to celebrate this Historic event in a grand way. In the interest of our community, a team of Telangana Peoples Association of Dallas (TPAD) has started planning the event to celebrate the Telangana Formation Day on Saturday June 7th 6PM in Amphitheater, Plano.TX.
Planning has started to organize the DFW Telangana Formation day celebrations in a grand way, about 2000 people are expected to attend the event. Very passionate event contributors have formed the teams like Cultural, Food, Fireworks, Reception, Logistics, audio/video, etc . The event will start with Ganesh puja, and a group procession with dholak, followed-by release of balloons. Artists from Hyderabad and local talent will perform very entertaining dances, singing etc.
Telangana food will be served with nominal cost, and vendor booths will set-up to sell clothes, jewelry, food etc.
Overall the event is planned to celebrate Telangana Formation day in a grand way. The event is supported by various Businesses, Professionals, and individuals.
Jubilant Telangana formation day celebrations are being planned in an integrated and inclusive manner.
