The first session of Andhra Pradesh assembly has started today. On the first day, as per protocol, Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu shook hands with leader of opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Chandra Babu started off the sessions by formally swearing in as the MLA. Immediately after him, YS Jagan completed his swearing in. When his turn came, deputy CM KE Krishnamurthy found it a little difficult to pronounce the word ‘sarvabhoumadhikaram’, but finally managed to get it right.
Prior to the session, Chandra Babu Naidu and Balakrishna along with other TDP members visited the NTR Ghat and paid respects to late NTR.
Similarly, Jagan and his MLAs got into a bus and went to Punjagutta and garlanded the statue of YS Rajasekhara Reddy. They then reached the Assembly and garlanded the statues of Ambedkar and Gandhiji before entering the Assembly.
