The newly formed Andhra Pradesh’s first assembly sessions started on Thursday morning in common capital Hyderabad.
As pre-decided, the assembly met at 11.52 am in the old Assembly building within the Assembly complex. Once the session began, Protem Speaker Pativada Narayanaswamy Naidu explained the rules to the members.
Later, TDP leader and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu was sworn in as the MLA, which was followed by the swearing in of opposition leader YS Jagan.
Deputy CMs KE Krishnamurthy and Nimmakayala Chinarajappa were sworn in next. The remaining members followed suit.
