IndiGo Flight Emergency Landing: Engine Failure

A Delhi-to-Goa IndiGo flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Mumbai after suffering a mid-air engine failure. The flight, operating with an Airbus A320neo, landed safely at 9:52 pm.

According to sources, a full emergency was declared after one of the engines failed mid-flight.

IndiGo later confirmed that a "technical snag" was detected during the flight. As a precaution, the aircraft was diverted to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai.

The airline has not disclosed the number of passengers or specific details about the engine issue.

Following standard safety procedures, the aircraft will remain grounded for maintenance and checks. Meanwhile, IndiGo arranged another plane to continue the journey to Goa.

Passengers were safely transferred to this alternative aircraft, which was scheduled to depart shortly.

The airline assured that customer safety and comfort remain their top priorities during such situations.
