Wing Commander Abhinandan has yet to be handed over to India, it appears.
Although most news outlets had reported that he was handed to Indian authorities over an hour ago, they are now reporting that there is some confusion over whether or not he has crossed onto Indian soil or not.
IANS has reported he was handed over to Indian authorities and was accompanied by Indian High Commission officials from Islamabad.
According to News18, he returned to India around 5pm and may appear in front of the media.
India Today reported that he is expected to cross over around 7:30pm local time.
A press conference is expected once the process is complete.
