YSRC to move no-trust motion, what'll Naidu do?

In yet another bold decision, YSR Congress party declared that it would move the no-confidence motion against the NDA government on March 21 demanding Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh, without waiting for the support of any other party.

The YSRC was reacting to a challenge thrown by actor and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan that he would mobilise the support of other parties if YSRC moved the motion in Lok Sabha.

Pawan said if there was one MP for the party, it could still move the no-confidence motion, though it required at least 50 MPs for the motion coming up for discussion.

“The YSRC has five MPs. They can as well move the motion first,” he said.

Now, the YSRC has accepted the challenge. It declared that their party MPs take the initiative in moving the no-confidence motion against the Centre on special category status.

Party senior leader Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy alleged that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan were playing hide and seek over special status to Andhra Pradesh and supporting no trust motion against the centre during post budget session of the Lok Sabha.

Reddy said Naidu was now talking about special status only after Jagan launched protracted struggle to the cause of Andhra.

“The Chief Minister should explain what the methodology he would adopt to fight for SCS,” he added.
