Many people in Andhra Pradesh feel that the governor, Narasimhan has been more inclined towards Telangana in any dispute with Andhra Pradesh.
Vemuri Radhakrishna, owner of ABN an Andhra Jyothi and confidant and alleged benami of Chandrababu Naidu also started off by questioning the governor’s impartiality.
But now, he carried out full page article on Governor Narasimhan’s trips to Tirupati questioning the need to make so many trips at the taxpayer’s expense and also gave a breakdown of the possible expenses incurred during the visits.
Now, while Vemuri may be justified in questioning the need for so many trips on the taxpayer’s account, there is nothing in the law that prevents the governor from visiting any holy place either or restricting his number of trips. So, the article should have ideally been targeted at the system instead of at the governor.
So, why is Vemuri spewing venom at the governor?
One possible explanation being circulated is that the governor did not make use of his offices or clout with the center to lift the ban on ABN.
Another rumor being circulated is that, Narasimhan is a Brahmin and Vemuri Radhakrishna is allegedly jealous of that community and does not lose out on an opportunity to belittle any prominent members of that community.
To counter any such possible perception, he even praised the behavior of former President of India Shri Shankar Dayal Sharma, who was equally famous for his trips to Tirumala.
If Vemuri is so conscious of the burden on the taxpayer because of such kinds of trips, why doesn’t he give a breakdown of Naidu’s various trips to Singapore and Delhi with a breakup of the various personnel who accompanied him and the unnecessary burden on the people because of such visits? But he will never do that to a fellow community member, will he?
