The controversy over the appointment of ace tennis star Sania Mirza as the brand ambassador of Telangana State refuses to die down,
BJP MLA and deputy floor leader in Telangana Assembly NVSS Pabhakar on Friday said he wanted to know the intention of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao in selecting Sania Mirza as brand ambassador of Telangana.
Prabhakar demanded that the State government spell out guidelines in selection of a brand ambassador. He said he had moved an RTI petition with the government to know the criterion for selecting the brand ambassador.
He also alleged that Telangana government was not bothering about welfare of the people.
Lambasting the TRS government, the BJP legislator said developmental work has been impeded. At least now, the government should look into the welfare of the people, he said.
