Speaking in Eluru, Pawan Kalyan made a sensational claim that his murder was being plotted by anti-social elements.
“Recently, I heard a call recording of three criminals talking to one another. I don’t know whether they are from the ruling party or the opposition.
“They were contemplating my murder and were confident that although there would be an outrage for about a month, the opposition and ruling party would blame each other for my murder and eventually, one of them will form the government again,” said Pawan Kalyan.
The very next sentence, he said, “I know who those people are, which Party they belong to. I know their faces.”
He says he will not be cowed down by such threats but that is not the point. If a murder was being plotted against him, why did he not file a police complaint when he had concrete evidence?
Besides, politics today has changed completely and the culture of violence is not appreciated anymore. Getting implicated in a murder case can well mean the end of one’s political career.
Today, economic crime takes precedence over everything else and when people can be bought and sold, why resort to barbaric measures?
The time spent in jail means the loss of huge income that can be made using one’s clout. Also, it is understandable if someone plots to kill YS Jagan or Chandrababu Naidu. Pawan Kalyan? Who will bother? The power star need not worry on this count.
