2029 Hints Clear? Leaders Scramble to Re-Enter YCP

2029 Hints Clear? Leaders Scramble to Re-Enter YCP

Politics in Andhra Pradesh is slowly changing. The coalition government has completed around 20 months in power. Over this period, people have started forming an opinion about its governance.

Whether this opinion becomes stronger or weaker will depend on how the government performs in the coming days.

These developments are naturally helping the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), which is now in the opposition.

Public support for YSRCP appears to be growing. Wherever YS Jagan Mohan Reddy goes, people are turning up in large numbers.

In Andhra Pradesh, voters usually give one party five years and then switch to another. Because of this trend, there is a growing feeling that YSRCP has a good chance of returning to power in 2029.

With this perception gaining ground, some leaders who stayed away from active politics after the coalition came to power are now becoming active again.

Some felt their businesses might suffer, while others thought it would be difficult to fight on the streets at that time. Now, many of them are rethinking their decisions.

Leaders who left YSRCP earlier are also looking back at the party, believing that being under the “fan” symbol is safer and more comfortable.

There is strong talk that Avanthi Srinivas, a senior leader from the Bheemili constituency and former minister, is keen on returning to YSRCP.

He resigned from the party in December 2024. Later, there were reports that he tried to join TDP and also explored the option of joining Jana Sena.

Now, sources say Avanthi Srinivas is showing interest in rejoining YSRCP.

At the same time, former Visakhapatnam MP MVV Satyanarayana, who served from 2019 to 2024, is also said to be thinking of becoming active in YSRCP again.

YSRCP leaders believe that if these two leaders rejoin the party before local body elections, it could give fresh strength to the party in Visakhapatnam district.

That is why speculation and buzz around their possible return is growing fast.
