Was Pawan Fearing Attack On Him?

The disclosure of Operation Garuda by Tollywood actor Sivaji way back in April that there would be a ‘non-fatal’ attack on an opposition leader in the state kicked up a big debate in the media circles those days.

Not many took his talk seriously, especially YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy who has been moving among the public for the last one year.

Nobody even suspected that the Telugu Desam Party itself might mastermind such an attack to defame Jagan, as is being alleged by YSRC leaders now.

But one person who seems to have taken Sivaji’s words seriously was power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan. Exactly a month ago, Pawan Kalyan made a statement at a public rally that he was facing threat to his life.

He said then that he had received information from three people that there would be an attempt on his life shortly and the Telugu Desam Party and YSR Congress party would blame each other for the attack. He even said he knew their names and faces but didn't reveal their identity.

And TDP president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu reacted promptly saying there was no need for Pawan to feel insecure for his life.

“We will protect him. If he has any such complaints, let him bring it to our notice and we shall provide all security to him,” he said.

Nobody took Pawan seriously then, but after seeing the attack on Jagan, it now appears Pawan’s apprehension could be true.

It is not immediately known whether the same persons who planned the knife attack on Jagan also had planned a similar attack on Pawan.

May be, they had dropped the proposal after they failed in their attempts once or twice and diverted their attention to Jagan!
