As the Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Venkayya Naidu seems to have charted a course of action largely based on the strategy of Chandrababu Naidu and KCR in their respective assemblies.
The first day of the Parliament Monsoon session makes this clear. To any attack by the opposition on the Vyapam scam and Lalit Modi-Sushma-Vasundhara nexus, the NDA is responding with counter allegations of corruption during nine years of Congress rule and the scams in the Congress-ruled states currently.
In the Andhra Pradesh assembly sessions, any questions by the YSRCP were thwarted by the TDP’s counter attack on Jagan questioning him on the disproportionate cases.
Similarly in Telangana, any attempts to question the TRS by the TDP were met with the stock reply of ‘Andhrollu’.
These kinds of escapist approaches seem to have struck a chord with Venkayya Naidu and he is implementing the same in Parliament.
