As soon as details of the tenant farmers’ families that Rahul Gandhi would be visiting were released, the TRS government rushed to their homes with financial compensation from the tune of Rs 10000 to one lakh.
Rahul’s ‘Rythu Bharosa’ yatra is expected to galvanize the cadre of the Congress into action as they failed to seize the initiative in convincing the people of Telangana to vote for them despite having given Telangana. And Rahul’s timing couldn’t have been any better.
The plight of farmers after the creation of Telangana has become even worse. Students who participated in the T-agitation are now roaming listlessly on the various university campuses with not a single job notification having been issued so far.
