The Telangana Rashtra Samithi government appears to be trying to cover up its own inefficiency in administration by throwing blame on the IAS officers for lack of developmental works in districts.
It was evident from the latest outburst by Telangana IT minister and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s son K T Rama Rao against Warangal (urban) collector Amrapali, Warangal municipal corporation commissioner Sruthi Ozha and other officials for not evincing interest in taking up works like community halls, market yards and grave yards, despite the approval given by the chief minister himself.
KTR’s anger has, in fact, surprised the officials as well as the people because Warangal is one of the most developed cities in Telangana and is among the top in maintaining cleanliness.
However, the officials are tough task masters and they don’t succumb to any sort of pressures from local TRS leaders. Amrapali is the most hardworking collector and she has won the hearts of the people with her commitment to the development of the city.
So, when KTR asked her to shut up and not to argue with him, it sent a lot of negative message among the people.
The fact is that the government is yet to release funds for the works, but it is trying to blame the collector. So, without releasing funds, the TRS is trying to gain the mileage by blaming it on the officials. Isn’t it atrocious?
