TDP Sobers Down Ex Congress Leaders

It is common knowledge that if one leaves home turf, then one has to tone down their opinions or even change their opinions. So seems to be the case of ex Congressman and present TDP leader TG Venkatesh.

After crying hoarse prior to bifurcation and making all kinds of statements and threatening the Congress high command with dire action if they went ahead with bifurcation, TG Venkatesh has adopted a totally new tone after he jumped into TDP.

At that time, he was constantly in news along with Lagadapati for making strongly-worded statements.

Now, the same TG Venkatesh maintains that while TDP will fight for special status for Andhra Pradesh, they will do so in a friendly manner so that it does not hurt the sentiments of BJP which is the ruling party in Centre and their poll ally in AP.

He has also been saying that nothing can be achieved by bad-mouthing either Venkaiah Naidu or Chandra Babu Naidu. And his statement about AP suffering if Babu and Venkaiah are upset has also raised many eyebrows.

So those in political circles are now gossiping that if such leaders behaved with similar decorum while in Congress, the party would have surely been in a different position today.

On the other hand, leaders in TDP have to follow strict guidelines and every public statement they make is gauged and all members have to follow a certain decorum so that they don't hurt the party's future prospects.

Well, surely for ex Congressmen, it is a new ball game.
