Those who had watched two different advertisements in the media on launching of two different projects – one for Andhra Pradesh and another for Telangana – were surprised to find that they were released by the same contractor.
The contractor was Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIL) owned by M Krishna Reddy and the projects were: Pattiseema in Andhra Pradesh and Water Grid at Jadcherla in Mahbubnagar district of Telangana.
The first project was launched by AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and the second by K T Rama Rao, Panchayat Raj minister of Telangana.
And media houses got benefitted by both the advertisements by the same contractor for two different States.
Ironically, Krishna Reddy was a right hand man of Congress MP K V P Ramachandra Rao during the regime of Y S Rajasekhar Reddy and was the biggest beneficiary of Jalayagnam.
Now, he has become closer to both Naidu and KCR. That’s business is all about!
