YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has taken it seriously the Chandrababu Naidu government’s decision to blackout the Sakshi channel in AP on the pretext of law and order.
On Friday, Jagan lodged a complaint with the Union Home Ministry stating that Naidu government was resorting to gagging of independent media so as to prevent them from exposing its highhanded behaviour in crushing the Kapu agitation. This was nothing but curtailing the freedom of press, he charged.
The YSR Congress party delegation also went to Suryapet to submit a representation to BJP national president Amit Shah seeking his intervention in restoring the Sakshi channel.
Apparently, Jagan wants to make it a big national issue and expose Naidu’s dictatorial attitude. If necessary, he would lead a delegation to Delhi and meet all the top leaders, besides staging dharna in the national capital seeking justice.
