The latest political developments in Andhra Pradesh showing Bharatiya Janata Party leaders displaying their new-found love towards YSR Congress party and attacking the Telugu Desam Party indicate the possibility of changing political equations in the state.
But one of the reasons for this widening gap between the TDP and the BJP is said to be Vemuri Radhakrishna, managing director of Andhra Jyothy Telugu daily and Andhra Jyothy-ABN channel.
For the last few months, Andhra Jyothy has been carrying stories criticising the BJP and NDA government.
A couple of weeks ago, Radhakrishna wrote a big article comparing Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Anaconda trying to engulf one state after the other by blackmailing the regional parties like AIADMK in Tamil Nadu, BJD in Odisha and TRS in Telangana.
He was also critical of the BJP leaders attacking Naidu ignoring the coalition dharma.
Naturally, all these reports have gone to the notice of Modi. Apparently, the feedback given to the Prime Minister is that Radhakrishna has the backing of Chandrababu Naidu.
Perhaps, that is one of the reasons why Modi has entertained YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy by giving him an appointment and accepting his complaints against Naidu.
