'Ponnala Inefficient, Corrupt'

Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah on Wednesday slammed Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmaiah for his alleged unsavory remarks against the TRS government and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Talking to media persons here on Wednesday, the Deputy Chief Minister dubbed the Congress leader as gross inefficient and corrupt.

He accused Lakshmaiah of looting money allotted for Jala Yagnam scheme for construction of irrigation projects during previous Congress regime. Ponnala has no right to make such baseless allegations, he fumed.

He also suggested Ponnala to mend his ways lest the people would teach him a fitting lesson.

The people will revolt against the leader, who is envious of the welfare policies of the TRS Government, he said.

KCR government has taken prompt steps to cater to the aspirations of the people, he added.

The Congress leader could not digest the welfare policies of the government, he said.

The TRS Government is committed to keep its promises of crop loans, pensions, land and housing of poor and deprived classes, the Deputy Chief Minister said.

The remarks of Lakhsmaih that the TRS government has failed to release funds towards crop loan waiver is totally wrong.

“We have released Rs 4,250 crore towards crop loan waiver despite RBI refusing to cooperate. The Government is determined to take all measures for the welfare and well-being of the people”, Rajaiah said.
